Maranga by Hästens

When you lie down on Hästens Maranga, the feeling you get is weightlessness. This bed is the very definition of adaptable flexibility: as you sink into it, it's like your body gets a nice hug. And when you get up, the bed follows your movements to later return to its original state: firm, but soft.
In Hästens Maranga the best materials of nature are combined: horsehair, wool, cotton and linen. All of them have been combined by hand with a technique of successive layers created and perfected by ourselves.
The frame is completed with a side dot design; This detail alone has taken us two hours. Following our iconic pattern in a grid (never better said), each point has been placed exactly in its place.
Maranga comes from the Maori term for "awakening", which illustrates well the effect a single night's sleep has on this work of art.
